Easy pament methods but questionable about daily usage rates sometimes. Seems like more is charged when we are not even home and nothing’s running that when we are. Very confusing the estimated usage method. Don’t understand that.

Response: Thank you for your great feedback Jason!! Glad that you find the payment portal user friendly! The daily rates do fluctuate at certain times during the year when the supplier changes their rates. We do try our best to keep the cost down for our customers. We offer the flex pay discount when the account is above $35.00 the price per kilowatt goes down 20%. The other discount we offer is on the daily fees when the customer uses at least 17 kilowatts a day. If you would like to see the daily usage broken down into 15 minute increments we can email you that information or there is a free website called smartmetertexas.com that will show you that as well. We can also go over energy saving tips if you would like to contact customer service at 888-963-9363 or there are some on the website paylesspower.com. The estimated usage is not used very often but when it does happen it means that the tdsp did not send us the actual meter reads for that house so we estimate based on prior usage what the billing should be. When we do receive the actual meter read we either credit the account because we over charged or if we under charged the customer we add it on to their bill. We do offer payment arrangements if need be. :) Published on April 18, 2018
