I really like this process, but I think I am paying more this way. Will figure it out and make changes accordingly

Running same amount of electricity bills seems to be going up daily

You can verify using your Customer Portal & see how the weather affect usage. You can also audit these reading daily by viewing your usage on http://www.smartmetertexas.com. This a free site operated by the State that shows you how much energy you home uses in increments from 15 minutes to a month.
