People shouldn’t be charged if they can’t pay a minimum of $150.00. That’s just ridiculous for a person who don’t have that kinda money.

Response: Ms Primus- Your comments state that that people should not be charged for not being able to pay $150. That is understandable and that’s whey we have multiple plans that approach they minimum payment fee differently. You can also avoid the fee and make payments as small as $40 by enrolling in autopay . Call us at 888 963 9363 for more information or sign up for and manage autopay on your My Account portal. Response: Ms Jennings – You review states that you feel that your billing has been inaccurate lately and that you are not receiving billing reconciliations in a timely fashion. It not good when you are expecting credits that are delayed or do not come at all. Any customer would be upset. I will ask a supervisor to reach out to you for more information. At Payless Power we do not use estimated meter reads unless there is a delay in receiving the actual read from Centerpoint. A review of your recent usage shows that your daily meter readings have been actual reads and not estimations. Because of this , the only possibility of a reconciliation credit would be when we get the monthly meter read from Centerpoint and compare that against the daily reads that you’ve already been billed for. The monthly read is always considered to be the measurement of record. When the supervisor speaks to you they can also show you how to enroll on www.smartmetertexas.com so you can audit your usage as reported by Payless Power (or any electric provider you use in the future) . 888 963 9363 Published on August 25, 2022

Published on August 16, 2022
I dont understand why if im enrolled in auto pay and I go to make additional payments on my account why it has to be 75 dollars or more not to incur the 4.95 fee????

Response: Ms Harris- Your comments ask why you would incur the $4.95 minimum usage fee if you are enrolled in autopay. First, let me thank you for enrolling in autopay. This is the best way to utilize your Payless Power service. You can make auto-payments as low as $40 and not be charged the fee. You are also correct that if your process a manual payment of less than $75 that a $4.95 fee. We attempt to encourage customers to make larger payments as it reduces the need for as many payments and helps us keep our cost and rates down. If you have additional questions please call us at 888 963 9363 or email us through your My Account Portal. Published on August 03, 2022

I have been a customer for almost 4 years but I’m struggling so hard to keep a roof over my daughter and myselfheads then to watch 100 dollar payments on electricity last only 3-4 days . I’m on disability and only use an hvac at night so we can sleep otherwise it stays off even in this 105 temperature each day. I call to see if I can get an extension but am informed that even after all the years being a customer and paying with no service interruptions I do not qualify. I’ve sold basically everything I own to keep the electricity on. I guess we’ll be homeless on the streets really soon. Everyone is a shark seeking to devour your life and wallet these days without any remorse or human empathy besides empty words. I don’t recommend this company since loyalty and years of service mean nothing.

Response: Ms Drake- Your comments state that you try to limit the use of your AC due to the cost and are struggling to keep up with your charges . This type of situation would affect anyone so your reaction is completely understandable . First off, please take all necessary precautions to avoid heat related health issues. You should not turn off your AC if its 105 degrees. We do work closely with the state to avoid disconnections during heat advisories and have payment arrangement options available to many customers. There are also state programs that can assist as well. Please visit www.texasutilityhelp.com Published on July 19, 2022
