Simply horrible. I asked for no contract prepaid service, and they tried to get sneaky about putting me on a contract. I take pictures of my meter everyday and every night to measure my own usage, but it never matches up with what they bill me for. Then they say that they’re billing runs two days behind, so there’s nothing they can do about helping it make any sense. It’s okay for a few days or a couple weeks as a temporary solution, but I would never recommend it for long term.

Do not choose this company they will overcharged insanely if the system is screwed up and you’re not allowed to make a payment for several days it goes on you and your account will keep getting negative and negative and negative and when you finally make a payment or are able to you have to pay it up 2-0 and then they’re going to charge you a $25 fee and then the $150 you had to put on your account is going to be gone and then your accounts going to be negative again it’s BS do not go with this company they are crap

Response: Lyndee, thank you for the feedback it is very important to us. We do apologize for this inconvenience this has caused you. We are well aware of the system issues that had occur therefore we were working with customers by suspending disconnections on 9/4/18-9/5/18 but usage will still be coming in as your usage you are responsible for. Also looks like your balance was negative since 8/29/18 with the labor day holiday disconnections were also suspended no payment was made till 9/6/18 when disconnections resume therefore causing to rack up a high negative balance. If you have any questions or concern please reach out to our customer care dept at 888-963-9363. Published on September 10, 2018
I was pretty excited to come back to PaylessPower because I still had a credit that allowed me to resume services. I have now been back with PaylessPower for 3 month and have been totally struggling to keep monies on my account. I just now became very unhappy because my electric was turned off and I restored like within the hour and was charged 25.00 reconnect fee because I was at work at the time and couldn’t make it in time to add money. Okay. I called and asked for a one time courtesy credit since this had never happened to me. Representatives told me no credit! I was already on deferred payment plan. I felt bad, but I accepted the decision. Then the next day I felt that I put enough on the account, but did not realize I was in the negative when I added money. So any money I added was deducted from previous negative balance and my account was then disconnected again. I was hit with another 25.00 after restoring service within the next couple of hours. First off I feel you guys should have something for customers that pay 15 dollars a day for service and service is disconnected then reconnected on the same day then we should be able to get that reconnect fee waived. Man this is just good quality service isn’t it. Secondly, I was on a deferred payment plan at one point where I pay back 5.16 every week until 25.00 is paid off. Now why in the hell whenever Im ready to pay this 25.00 off I can do so instead of having to wait from August 1st to September 2nd to payoff 25.00 . I really intended on leaving at the beginning of August after I paid the 25.00 for the deferred program, but tell me why there was a hold on the meter. If you take the 25.00 credit for a deferred payment plan then your not able to pay it off early so that you can leave if you want, you have to wait till PaylessPower electronically take the 5.16 every week addition to service for a damn month. Then I noticed that I end up paying double during the time Im on this deferred payment plan stuff. Man I will never in life come back Im going to close this account for good because y’all playing for real with peoples lives. If you make mistakes in life with finances and you loose your job there is no hope for companies like PaylessPower just another company all about themselves and about money which is cool just don’t murder me and Im already dead!!!! The more I add on my account the more you guys take Im done. Good luck on life cause blessings only come to those that help. All the good surveys you guys have y’all must have something rigged. Cause I know all your customers are not happy with paying 400.00 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment unit with no microwave and 1 tv thats about 50 inches. Everything is cool until they start hitting you with them 25.00 reconnect fees and taxed electricity rates!!! Good luck folks hell you better off with high ass reliant energy then theses scammers!! Im off to add another 20 dollars on my account for the day. Just added 30.00 yesterday. Seriously. Now you do the math. Laquita Hill

Response: Tish, we do apologize you had this experience with your service. We do offer a grace period from the time the balance does go negative automatically giving you till the next day before 11 am to make a payment, Also a deferred payment plan is offered if needed. With our service we do know when disconnections can occur & strongly encourage customers to make a payment before the grace period does expire to avoid it. If needed can contact *211 a agency that can assist on making a payment for you when needed. Lastly a Supervisor will be emailing you a critical care form, for your daughter here shortly. Your rates are terribly ridiculous I am definitely posting this on social media the hope that no one else will get raped by y’all we turn off all our electricity except for our major appliances such as our refrigerator when we leave the whole day and our estimated power uses $12 a day that is ridiculous that’s over $300 a month for a family that barely uses any power y’all are what’s wrong with America I don’t know where y’all get the name Payless from y’all are way harder than TXU, Direct Energy or any company that I’ve ever dealt with. I am actually paying for an article in the newspaper to advertise y’all are the highest rates in society right now I would hate to see another family get duped by this company

Prices are too high. No budet friendly packages. Thinking about switching to a new provider soon, one who offers low income consumers relief. There are several power companies that offer plan to help lower the cost of power bill. Its too bad, this company doesn’t. Most power companies offer a budget billing plan, which averages the annual cost of electricity in a home and bills the customer in 12 even installments. This helps low-income customers maintain a budget and avert payment problems, especially during the more expensive months. Something to pass along to CEO. Thanks, Falisha Lehman [email protected]
