I can’t believe that making a payment online is free. You don’t see that very often.

I was charged too much during the freeze. Our electricity was mostly off for 4 days and I was charged double what I usually pay when the power is ON all the time. What happened?

Response: Mr. Aikman- Thank you for reaching out. To summarize, you are stating that your power was off mostly for 4 days during the storm however you paid twice as much as you would normally if the power was on the whole time. You feel that you were overcharged and you want to know what happened. What you are experiencing has been shared by millions of Texas residents regardless of their electric provider. These residents want and deserve answers. Call us at 888 963 9363 and we can review your account to see if any specific times can be identified that look suspicious. There can be a number of possible explanations but we can confirm that any increased charges was not due to raising your rates leading up to , during, or following the storm. In fact , Payless Power has not raised its energy rates in 2021 and has no immediate plans to do so.. Charges incurred were due to increased usage as reported by your transmission and distribution utility. Outages during the storm did result in TDU estimations for many customers however the majority of all estimations have been reconciled in the weeks following the storm. Still if you have questions we can discuss these with you and assist in disputing your usage data on your behalf. A supervisor will also reach out to you directly to go over your concerns. Quick and easy to to use. Love that I can save multi cards and that it gives an estimate of how many days left of service.
