Response: Good morning Tiffany, Thank you so much for your feedback it's greatly appreciated. Payless Power does offer ways on qualifying on saving on your usage It's called the Flex Pay discount with this you will receive 20% of your usage when balance is maintained at $35 or more. Another way on receiving a discount is when you use more than 17 KWH a day. If you have any questions regarding your account please reach out to our customer care dept 888-963-9363. One thing that I hate is that you guys send the usage amount from 2 days ago instead of the one that is from the previous day like it use to be & I’m not your only account holder that complains about it

Response: Thank you, Marquia. The reason we bill 2 days behind is because this is the quickest time possible to receive the bill and calculate the charges. For example when you use service on a Monday we do not receive your daily meter read from CenterPoint until late Tuesday Afternoon. We then take that data and use it to calculate your charges that are deducted Wednesday morning. All providers receive these reads at the same time so 2 days behind is the best any pre-paid provider can do unless they do daily estimations instead. While some customers would prefer to be billed 1 day behind nearly all prefer to be billed using real meter reads instead of estimations that are trued up the following day anyway. Call us at 888 963 9363 if you would like to discuss this or any other topic. We are here to help! Published on April 04, 2018
I have had a huge problem contacting customer service in the past. It seems a phone number for them appears to be difficult to find if one needs immediate service. I miss the daily amount of money used on top of the kiliwattage used. Made tracking how much I’m using easier. Because one doesn’t reference the amount their using by kilowatt because it doesn’t immediately translate to money immediately for the average person. I used to know right away how many days I had left by the amount of money i had been using daily and my balance. This way I could plan accordingly.

Rates are too high

Published on April 03, 2018
Response: Shannon- Thank you for your business. Keep in mind that our rates are bundled which means that we do not separate out the energy charges from the transmission charges. many competitors use this tactic which makes their rates look cheaper than they really are. We also offer the 20% Flexpay discount . Just maintain your balance above $35 and you can earn this every day ! Published on April 03, 2018
Fairly expensive compared to similar prepaid electric companies

Response: Hi James- Thank you for being our customer and taking the time to give your feedback. There are 2 things to keep in mind regarding Payless Power. The first is the Flexpay discount. You can save 20% simply by maintaining your balance above $35. We also bundle our rates. This means that we do not advertise rates with the transmission and delivery fees separated out. When you factor these things in Payless Power is actually cheaper than most pre-paid providers :) Published on April 03, 2018

Payments are easy. I had a few issues last year with adjustments (that the company made involuntarily), but we’re back on track.
