The worst power company in the state of Texas. Overcharge you to death if you’re low income and can’t make the credit for a bigger name company. No incentives, no times thought the day for decreased power consumption. Easily charged me offer $4 a DAY!!!!! Terrible company just looking to eat your hard earned money with the absolute worse customer service reps you can find. All around terrible company for costumers AVOID IF YOU CAN!!!
Response: Mr Garrett- To recap, your comments state you feel that you have been overcharged and you feel Payless Power should offer incentives or times of the day where there are decreased charges. You are not happy with the amount of your daily charges. I can definitely see why you would be upset over your charges for the last couple of days. We saw low temperatures over the weekend and usage has increased for you and other Texas residents due to that . Luckily there should be some relief with this week’s weather . You are correct that Payless Power does not offer free nights and weekends and other types of marketing gimmicks designed to falsely lure in customers . We bundle our rates and do not charge customer fees that are common in the industry. We try to be straight forward and our best rates match the rates of 1 and 2 year contract plans of all of the major providers. They start out by being a great service but as you go on the prepaid account the rates are outrageous, the amount you out on does not last very long I pay three times as much as I would have ever spent with a monthly statement doing prepaid and have to spend 100 dollars to end my contract with them! I would give 0 stars but that’s not a option very angry and frustrated with them at this point!
Response: Hello- You’re comments state that you were satisfied with Payless Power at first but as time goes on it feels like you are paying more and more and that you have paid 3X as much as you would have with a monthly bill. This is very frustrating and you are very angry. Let me say that it’s a very big deal if a customer does not understand their charges and an even bigger deal if they think they are being billed unfairly. Because of that it is very understandable for you to feel the way you do. After reviewing your account I can immediately see what part o f the issue is. You are on an Autopay and Save account but your autopayment attempts have not been successfully processed. This adds a .99 charge to your account each day. You also signed up for a deferred payment plan a while back and this is paid back by deducting and extra $1 per day from the account. Once you repay your DPP and if you fix your autopay issue that will reduce your daily charges by around 30%. The other factor that causes your charges to fluctuate is your usage. Your rate is locked in and has not increased and the plan you selected is our lowest rate and one of the lower ones available from any company presently. Really disappointed with this company they cut my power energy by mistake 4 days before the expected cancellation day and then I have to create a new account just for 4 days and when I call to disconnect the new service they charge me almost $100 for a mistake that it wasn’t my fault but at the end the try to make me feel it was my fault. I don’t recommend this company
Response: Ms Aquayo,- Your comments state that your our representative issued your move out date prematurely which required you to go the process of creating a new account for those 4 days. When you cancelled this new account you were charged the early termination fee. . The is unacceptable and not the way a customer should be treated at any Company. We have done our best to correct this issue by applying a courtesy credit for your trouble as well as refunding the early termination fee to your card. Paid for services still didn’t get any no stars
Response: Ms Finley- Your review states that you paid to activate your service but you still do not have power so we get a zero star rating. This is a very serious situation and we can definitely see why you would feel that way . We show that your order was sent and accepted by Oncor so there are a couple of things that could be wring . There could be an issue with the breakers or even possibly an incorrect address. These guys are crooks they continue to bill me after I canceled service and won’t delete my card info
Response: Mr Clinton- You comments state that payless power bills you after you cancelled your service and that our company will not delete your credit card from your account. Having such an understanding would upset anyone and is a serious issue . After reviewing your, account I do see that your credit card was in fact deleted today . I also see that after receive your request to cancel service 10 days ago you were not charged for any additional usage, taxes or fees. You did receive one additional charge for a few cents from underbilled usage from before you cancelled service but then received a credit back for more than that amount this week. Horrible service they don’t try and help out in any kind of way they say about the rental and utilities program I’ve had my lights turned off even when I had the money to pay the amount due but because I was paying with a debit cards would have to pay more money that I didn’t have it’s redicilous
