This company is knowingly stealing from my family I’ve asked my rate be honored and still can’t get a response but then get emails asking me my experience with customer support when there was none.

If I can rate zero stars I would this company absolutely is not a choice for those who seek great service. They do not offer 24/7 customer service so when you’re power goes out they will put a lock on your account and you are not able to pay

The service is very tedious when you are having to scround around for money just to keep a positive balance. People that are hurting with no vehicle and no way to get to work are able to pay this bill continuously. It’s a headache doing prepaid wish their was an option for monthly payments again!

Response: We appreciate the feedback on this issue, Tony. We understand that you have concerns with your current pre-paid electricity services, especially if you are struggling to keep a positive balance and want post-paid services. While we understand you may desire a monthly billing, we are still working to provide those services, and would recommend making large payments to cover for a month's amount of usage to avoid any service interruptions. If you need any other assistance, reach out to us at 1-888-963-9363 Published on February 06, 2025

It never fails. It goes up every time we are using less and less of the lights and power. We have turned the heater down and our usage average continues to go up per day. Is there something I missed in the wording of the agreement because I did not see any part about escalating Costs of power per day? I started very conservative and was using $9.30 per day average power per day. now I’m even using less electricity than that and I have exceeded $14.93 per day for power. This utilities provider is clearly not helping people like this.

Response: Thank you for reaching out to Payless Power about this issue, Marichal. We can understand why you may have concerns with your current billing and electricity services, and we want to help you better understand your billing. Payless Power charges its customers based on the amount of electricity that they consume, with higher usage being reflected in a higher billing. Winter time is typically when customers see a spike in the electricity they consume, especially as their appliances work harder against the cold air than they normally would. If you are concerned about the usage that you are being charged with, we strongly recommend that our customers utilize the smartmetertexas.com website. This will break down your consumption into 15-minute intervals, so you understand when exactly you are consuming the most amount of electricity.
