My review rating is a 3 star rating due to the fact that when I called customer service support to improve or change my status of my electric bill the representative messed up my new status that has me paying more like I’m month to month. I want to get this resolved.

First of all payless power has incompetent team in their organization I’ve opened account with them to get the services for my rental property, I’ve deposited $200 and they have stole money from my account and settle other account, Other account was cancelled with 30 days notification with all dues cleared. Payless power is a fraudulent company in terms of accounting. I will notify the authorities to take action against them and submit my review ever where to notify about their stealing habbits

Response: Mr Ali- You comments state that you that that funds on your currently account are being transferred inappropriately to settle debts on prior accounts. We have responded to your emails regarding this matter. If you still have additional concerns, please contact us at 888 963 9363 for mire details. Please note that each account associated to you was set up as a fixed rate plan with a contract and these contracts include an early termination fee in the terms. In years past we offered variable rate plans with no early termination fee but that has no bee the case for about a year at this point . Du to this, notify us 30 days in advance that you are planning to terminate service would not result in the early termination fee being waived. If you can show that you have moved from your residence, then the terms of the contract would no longer apply. As you have multiple accounts and different addresses the assumption is that you are a landlord or property manager. At this time, Payless Power may not be a good option for you to provide temporary service to your rental properties due to the early termination fee. 888 963 9363 Published on June 06, 2023
I had credit card fraud and the card I was using was replaced. I received no notification that my power was being shut off at 9pm after business hours for a $0.15 past due balance. I went online and paid $150 as soon as I became aware of the issue. A text or call would have been appropriate. All the food in my fridge is going to spoil. I’ll be canceling my contract with Payless power tomorrow. I don’t care about the cost, this is the most unreasonable power company I’ve ever dealt with. You’re trash.

Response: Hello- Your comments state that you cancelled your card due to fraud and this result in your Payless Power payment not being applied. You also state that you did not received notifications that you were facing disconnection. This is a very serious situation so the first this that should be done is to confirm that your phone and email on your account are correct, We do show that daily notifications including low balance warnings have been issued on schedule so please contact us at 888 963 9363 to confirm/update the best ways to reach you. 888 963 9363. I was fairly satisfied with this company even though I was getting fed up with the daily usage fees. If you think you are saving on KWatts, you really don’t save any money once they apply all of those daily fees. However, my real issue with them came when I decided not to renew with them. They started blowing my phone up with texts telling me it was time to renew over and over again. When I decided to finally call for them to go over my terms and contract which I had forgot, (since after all it had been a year since I started with this company ) I told them I was shopping around to see if I should stay with them, and I asked them to go over the contract and current rate they were charging me, and told me everything BUT the fact that there would be a early termination fee if I decided not to renew with them and cancel more than 14 days prior to the very end of the contract. Why start blowing my phone up so early if you knew you are going to charge me if I move on too soon. I had a positive $90.00 credit balance that I could have used for daily electricity with them prior to changing over, but because I thought I had to do make a decision right a way, I shopped around and decided to move to another company. Then when I called them back after making the switch to ask about my credit balance, THEN they decided to inform me that there was a $99.00 early termination fee that would apply (which means my $90 positive credit would be used up with their $99. early termination fee) that they neglected to mentioned when I called a few days earlier. Why would I have not waited another 10 days and used my $90. credit balance up if had they explained properly when I called them to go over my contract? If I would have stayed with them after they bugged me to renew, there would not have been an issue, but since I moved they found a reason not go refund me my credit balance. i would not recommend them if you can go somewhere else. They do not do U.S. Mail so if you are a senior and not so up on your technology, I certainly do not recommend them. THEY TOLD YOU SO! I hate ratchet fly by night companies like this!!! B. Armstrong

Response: Ms Armstrong- Your comments state that you were not aware of the early termination fee associated with the account and thus should not have been charged the early termination fee. We can understand why you would be upset and this is why each notice that we sent expressly outlined the timelines of your expiring contract and how to avoid paying the penalty. Also, please note that the billing system did not apply the fee to your account and a refund check for your full balance has been mailed to your billing address. Feel free to call us at 888 963 9363 with any additional concerns. Published on June 06, 2023
this company is absolutely horrible and a joke. how are you supposed to be helping folks but only allow one payment extension and its only for a couple of hours. so stupid. I have been trying to make a payment on my account and can’t because i have a restriction on my account. there is absolutely no emergency contact number, or email and HOW IS A ENERGY COMPANY CLOSED ON A HOLIDAY WITH NO EMERGENCY CONTACT! just so stupid. I can’t wait till my contract ends so i can go else where.

Response: Ms Hamilton- Your comments state that you feel the account protection option that is offered by Payless Power is insufficient and you are also alarmed because you were unable to make a payment over the holiday weekend and there is no emergency contact number. No one likes the stress of facing disconnection, so your frustration is completely understandable. Please note that Payless Power does not disconnect service on the weekends and major holidays. We do offer same-day account protections to give customers who have perhaps forgotten to make a payment, the option of avoiding disconnection the same day, but this is not intended to provide extended time. We also offer deferred payment plans that may accomplish that, but customers may only have one active payment plan at a time. As a pre-paid provider that does not hold a deposit, this is the maximum assistance that we can offer. We do however have assistance available after hours via email and we are working on enhancing our 24/7 automated assistance options. Published on June 06, 2023
