I had enough on my account for four more days. I’m waiting for a call back which is holding me back from my work!. I was charged an adjustment fee for $105 which put me negative with y’all. What the heck I put money on my account every week. I can’t find anything on the web page about an adjustment fee. So now my four children and retired vet will have to do without power when I thought I had four more days to pay. I lose electric by 12 and don’t receive my paycheck for two more days. Man I don’t know what to do
Response: Mr Hunt- Your comments state that you are alarmed because your account was hit with a large adjustment which has made your account susceptible to disconnection. This is definitely a major issue and a supervisor is calling you to discuss. This is related to an issue with a prior payment . I use to love this company now with all the fees it’s absolutely ridiculous you might as well not be a prepaid company anymore.. it’s hard out here and sometimes $75 isn’t always available definitely looking for a better company.

That’s is understandable and Payless power has listened to this feedback and lowered the fee amount. You can also avoid the fee and having to make larger payments by enrolling with auto pay. Rates have went up to 19 cent per kw! Charging $20-$30 per day! Representative told me no other offers are available! And no low income options were available! Even though the website indicates something different! Highly disappointed!

This service not good at all .. i was paying $11 a day in one week it to $22 a day .. too much . I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody … never get any feed back … they dont care if you have family they cut you electricity off as soon as it hits 0 Balance

Yes this is not a good way to go thru are charging fees that’s freaking ridiculous when I first got them it was great this past year has been money hungry I’m switching my provider I pay almost 300 a month no cool

That’s is understandable and many Texas residents are feeling that way regardless of their electric company due to the hot summer and increase in energy prices all the way around. You are in a better position though because you are under a fixed rate so it cannot increase. I am very disappointed with this company. I enrolled in a prepaid account. I was told nothing will change and now I am forced to add $75 or I’ll be charged an extra $5 if I add anything less than. I enrolled in prepaid to eliminate making large payments and rather pay as I go. At this point I’d rather have a bill because of all the reoccurring extra “convenience fees”. The only reason I have not cancelled is because of the etf (early termination fee). It started at a minimum of $25, then $40, and now $75. I am fed up.

I have been with this company for 5 years or more… ( SHAME ON ME ). When your on the go on work and home and get so occupied that you just pay your bills without reading them, that’s me. Till I finally noticed how high my electric bill was. For just being my wife and I, over $400 per month is too much. Payless charges $3.29 per day automatic and .19 cents per kilowatt and other hidden charges. After so many years of being a good customer, I called them to see if I can get a better rate ( fixed rate ) if I agreed on a contract. Her response was, Unfortunately we don’t offer that, the best we can do is sign you up for a year contract at what your paying now ????. What a way to treat a loyal customer. People DON’T EVER CONSIDER THIS INCONSIDERATE COMPANY ????. THEY WILL NEVER HELP YOU, THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY… THIS COMPANY SHOULDN’T BE CALLED PAYLESS, IT SHOULD BE CALLED PAYMORE AND MORE AND MORE…. WHAT A TIP OFF YOU ARE. SHAME ON YOU ALL…

Absolutely horrible company, they do not work with you if you need more time to make a payment, you can only have 1 deferred payment plan and they raised the minimums. Just use a different company, they are horrible.
