Published on August 16, 2022

I dont understand why if im enrolled in auto pay and I go to make additional payments on my account why it has to be 75 dollars or more not to incur the 4.95 fee????

Response: Ms Harris- Your comments ask why you would incur the $4.95 minimum usage fee if you are enrolled in autopay. First, let me thank you for enrolling in autopay. This is the best way to utilize your Payless Power service. You can make auto-payments as low as $40 and not be charged the fee. You are also correct that if your process a manual payment of less than $75 that a $4.95 fee. We attempt to encourage customers to make larger payments as it reduces the need for as many payments and helps us keep our cost and rates down. If you have additional questions please call us at 888 963 9363 or email us through your My Account Portal. Published on August 03, 2022

You should offer entering bank info, so that the convenience fee is waived…that’s all.

Response: Hello- Yes, we actually do offer the ability to avoid the fee by setting up autopay. A supervisor will call to walk you through the process. 888 963 933. Published on July 27, 2022

I have been a customer for almost 4 years but I’m struggling so hard to keep a roof over my daughter and myselfheads then to watch 100 dollar payments on electricity last only 3-4 days . I’m on disability and only use an hvac at night so we can sleep otherwise it stays off even in this 105 temperature each day. I call to see if I can get an extension but am informed that even after all the years being a customer and paying with no service interruptions I do not qualify. I’ve sold basically everything I own to keep the electricity on. I guess we’ll be homeless on the streets really soon. Everyone is a shark seeking to devour your life and wallet these days without any remorse or human empathy besides empty words. I don’t recommend this company since loyalty and years of service mean nothing.

Response: Ms Drake- Your comments state that you try to limit the use of your AC due to the cost and are struggling to keep up with your charges . This type of situation would affect anyone so your reaction is completely understandable . First off, please take all necessary precautions to avoid heat related health issues. You should not turn off your AC if its 105 degrees. We do work closely with the state to avoid disconnections during heat advisories and have payment arrangement options available to many customers. There are also state programs that can assist as well. Please visit www.texasutilityhelp.com Published on July 19, 2022

Easy payment options

Response: Thank you Chris for the feedback it's greatly appreciated! Published on July 13, 2022

Im trying to give you the benefit of the doubt im new customer and have applied payment to the service the told me it would be 4-6 hours in this scorching hot weather in the beginning of July and they have said it would take that many hours to turn on I have done Acatia Energy the prepaid plan and they said it would be an hour and an hour it was not understanding why it should take so long to apply the services. Would be extremly happy if go home but would be very dissappointed if I go home and would have to still be in Heat especially since you paid.

Response: Ms Flores- You comments state you are concerned at the amount of time (4 to 6 hours) that you were quoted for your service to be turned on vs what a competitor quoted you (1 hr). It makes perfect sense why you would be concerned at such a discrepancy in this heat . The truth is that all providers follow these same protocols which are laid out by the State. No electric provider has a short cut to quicker service. We all send move-in orders to the State operated agency ERCOT who audits these orders and sends them to your local utility Centerpoint . Centerpoint attempts to complete these requests int he order they are received. We quote 4 to 6 hours because that covers the time it takes for us to receive confirmation back from Centerpoint. It could feasibly be much shorter but in some case it could also take longer. This might occur of your meter could not receive a remote connection signal , a meter installation was required etc. In your case I show that we sent the order at 8:51 AM and your service was active as of 9:49 AM or just under and hour however there does appear to be an issue with the address provided during enrollment. Please note that we feel it’s better to advise customers of average order completion times instead of quoting best case scenario timeframes . If you have any further questions please call us at 888 963 9363. We are here to help. Published on July 09, 2022

I use to be so happy with Payless power it was a prepaid easy pay as you go type of payments…I am in a very harsh financial situation that is the entire reason I chose prepaid. Now due to this stupid inflation things have gotten worse. I am 1 of many people forget…we are the “Don’t qualify Can’t get any help…almost homeless struggeling person” now you have drastic changes at wich did not gradually go from 1 to 5 to 10…no you went from 5 to 75 and then another 10 since the 75 can’t be kept At a steady balance…smh so much for pre paid and convenience! Stressful now…

Response: Thank you for your feedback it's greatly appreciated! We understand the hardship you may be going through and have heard the feedback from other customers expressing the same concerns that we have now implemented new changes to help accommodate on making it easier on making payments.
