I don’t like all the E-mails and can’t turn them off. I submit a payment and it didn’t reflect on those e-mails.

This company is just money hungry they won’t let me protect my account cause I do minimum payment leaving my account balance 1 cent there excuse is I need to put more fund well that all I could do so why should matter and yes this company is the worst we cut power off with kids and they don’t help they try to sound like they want to help but pull out unfortunately we can’t I we Change providers once my switch hold is removed and the people who put good rating they do it for the credit they get worst no customer support and expensive

Your last couple of years as a Payless Power customer have been a challenging journey. We’ve helped the best we could but you are correct in that we cannot offer you additional assistance beyond what is already available to you automatically if your payments just bring the account to zero. As a prepaid customer , you are required to add fund to your account in advance for your future charges. The last 2 years have been challenging for so many residents in the state due to Covid and the winter storm. The good news is that you have almost made it through . I wished you would offer a special on weekends or give a better KW rate. I will be searching for a lower rate.
Response: Ms Burns – Your review shows that you have a good experience with your service but feel that the rates are too expensive . This is not a good thing . Fuel prices across the globe have definitely affected the price of electricity. But please keep in mind that while you may see companies advertising low rates, these typically have strings attached. For example, companies that offer free nights and weekends charge more during the day so that the free nights averages out to the regular cost. Other times, electric providers will advertise the energy rate only and hide the fact that they will add a utility charge of around 4 cents to every kilowatt hour. Others offer lower rates but then charge excessive fees, to make up for it. At Payless Power we try to be as straightforward as possible . Our pricing is not the absolute lowest but it is in alignment with the true cost of all of the big companies you see on TV and without nickel and diming our customers with fees. Hi, First of all, i would say Payless Power is a fraudulent company. They have been charging 50 cents per kWh used. When I called the customer service team, they are saying you are in a different plan and your old plan is no longer exists. I told them I never got any communication from you about the plan change, moreover, in the entire state of Texas there is nowhere power is costing 50 cents per kWh. This company is the biggest fraudulent power company in the Dallas area. Try to avoid them as soon as possibel. Regards, Raj

Its not a good thing when a customer doesn’t understand their plan or billing so thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. Please note that you are not billed .50 per KWH. Your plan does charge a daily customer fee of $3.20 per day and this includes up to your first 17KWH at no extra charge. If you use more than 17 KWH you are charges and the established per PWH rate. Since you are a very low user of power (less than 10 KWH per day) then our plans may not be right for you. Don’t get this service!!! I REPEAT don’t get this service.. I should have listened to the reviews.. I noticed my usage was getting more and my days shorter.. so I was curious and started looking at the usage chart and for the month of March it showed I used the exact amount for each day.. example each Friday was 39 kilowatts for the whole month and all the other days were the exact same with a different amount for each day but we’re the same each week all the way until the end. So I notified the company and was told my meter malfunctioned Feb 21 and that I was billed correctly for the month of March.. there is no way possible that can happen.. my attorney is already on this.. I refused to let this company get over on me.. don’t fall into this trap.. ???????????????????? bad service.. im only putting one star cause it said I had to fix the highlighted area so I put one when it don’t deserve that..

This is based on observations that you made that show each day of the week to be billed the same amount over a period of time. While there are technical issues with your Centerpoint owned meter that may explain this, it us understandable why you would be upset and distrustful. It is our responsibility to answer your questions and provide documentation showing that you have been billed correctly based on the usage recorded by your meter While you have already spoken to supervisors please note that your complaint has been escalated and a supervisor is calling you to discuss next steps. We will provide you a written supervisory review of the billing situation within 10 days and if adjustments to your billing are due they will be made by that time.
