I have had them for going on 2 years.. There rates have gone up so much its ridiculous as soon as I can switch I will be changing to a different company. Very unsatisfied… And when u call them they wont work with u at all… Makes it very hard for a single mom on fixed income with 2 kids… It cost me 17 bucks in one day to heat my home and it should be less to heat then to ac in a trailer..

Please understand that our rates do not change frequently and that we do not read your meter. This is handled by Oncor - your transmission and distribution utility (TDU). Many Texas residents have these same feelings when the temperature drops because the impact of heating on electricity usage is something that is taken for granted in the south. We understand air conditioning costs but not heating costs. If you call us at 888-963-9363 we can give specifics and you may be able to use this information to curb your winter usage. Otherwise the usage will only change with the weather and not with your electric provider. We can also give you a method to ensure that we are billing you with what your meter reports and nothing else. It's a government operated website called www.smartmetertexas.com and is free to use for all Texas residents. To solve you problems you must understand the cause. We can help you do that 888-963-9363

I have been with Payless Power for 2 years now and have been so grateful for their services. They have been very helpful when times got tough for my family. They truly do try to work with you and help when times are tough. Customer service agents are very nice, even compassionate to you and your needs. I have tried other pre paid electricity companies in the past and as you can see I am not with them anymore. Thank you Payless for all you have done.

I never thought electricity could be so easy! I’ve always used the big companies like Gexa, Direct Energy and TXU because I thought that was the best thing to do until I gave Payless Power a chance. The cost is SO MUCH lower! I try to pay attention to keep my balance above $35 to get the extra discount and I love the text updates to keep track of my usage. My bill was half of what it was last year with another company. I’ve told everyone I know about y’all!

Signed up because needed quick electricity . found Payless power website read reviews of course but it was the night before the move in date and still had no electricity set up. So I read on reviews was a bit skeptical but honestly . the next morning I got a text message saying service was active I was super surprised it was that fast. For as much as we use electricity consumption our price is very good I love the text messages letting me know about my account. We are very pleased. A little upset that I was never informed on the 70 or 75 deposit and you actually get 100$ in electricity . help me out on this please other that . I love Payless power.!!!!!
Response: Nellie - thank you for the kind remarks. Just to clarify, we don't require a deposit from customers but since our service is pre-paid you do have to put a payment of at least $40 to start your service. We do not hold that money as a deposit though. It is available for your immediate use.
Are Saturdays free?
Response: Hello - we currently do not offer free weekends. This is something that some companies advertise but in reality they charge a higher rate on week days to make up for their revenue loss on the weekends. Our billing is very straightforward. We provide a good rate 7 days per week and if you can manage to keep a balance of $25 or more we will discount that rate by 3.5 cents. It's that simple!
