This service and the ability to prepay at a fair rate have been a blessing for my family and me. My credit took a huge, unfair hit post-divorce. Single Dad now and I shouldn’t have to pay a deposit of several hundred dollars just for lights. With Payless Power’s prepaid option, we didn’t have to!

Its low cost prepaid electric u know what u use everyday via message and how much $ is in ur balance. They are kind. The greatest thing is they will really help u if ur running low on funds they will credit u and u can pay it back. I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!!

Pretty good service. Price ain’t to bad. I like that they will extend the make a payment part till the end of the day ( sense I’m at work all day) with out taking on a bunch of extra fees. Overall good company. Wish it would go towards rebuilding my credit tho.

I must say my first time using Payless power after credit being rebuilt I used because I needed lights asap…now I’m actually liking knowing I’m actually in control of what I’m using and can be able to actually see where my money going on a daily basis..I’m thinking about staying for a while 🥰

Hello-I have been through a lot of different and difficult companies that where too much to keep attention and understand why my energy go up and down and on how my smart meter runs and work over all its been easy to keep paid they also help you to NOT to forget your balance and your negative credit so that’s A BIG DIFFERENT FOR ME AND IT HAS HELP ME TO IN PROVE THE WAY I CONTROL IT AT A LEVELED……….Thanks Payless Power

I’ve been with them a few months I had just moved to Houston it was just supposed to be temporary because I thought it would be too inconvenient but no credit check no longer on the phone process quick and easy

Using Pay-as-you-go gives you control of your bill and freedom to deposit small amounts of cash to keep your lights running instead of being forced to pay one large monthly bill. Payless Power is great. They give light credits for maintaining daily average balances of $40 or more. For example, most days I get $1.87 add to my account credits most days for maintaining a $40 balance.

I am so pleased with this light company. They didn’t take a deposit, didn’t check my credit, GAVE ME a $50 credit to apply to my light bill! I pay as I go. If I keep my account at a minimum of $35 I get discounts. I cannot believe what I pay for my light bill. I hope they stay around forever! Oh and their customer reps are very professional and friendly too!

Payless power has the best customer service we’ve ever experienced! We’ve never had any problems. It’s easy to put money on the account and I like being able to see how much we’re using each day. We put $100 every month and we never seem to use more than $40 worth of electricity every month. (So we have a positive balance of $150-$170 every month). I was with another company about five years ago that wasn’t pay as you go and my bill was a little more than $200 every month and I barely spent any time in my one bedroom apartment. I can’t say enough good things about payless power. I’ve never been over billed and it was easy to transfer my credits from one account (address) to another. I don’t see why everyone doesn’t use it!

This service is terrific! I get daily usage alerts, the price is excellent, I can add money whenever I want. The new interface rocks and I have always experienced excellent customer service. I got texted to death for a minute there when they changed over, but I got really nice “don’t freak out” apologies also. I also keep a good amount (over $50 at all times but usually over $100) credit on the account. Now, there are some rachet people throwing shade about some strange things on the reviews, but I have never had that kind of experience. Try it. Open an account with a good amount, $250 let’s say, and then you can tweak your usage with the daily text. We left the HVAC ON 68F, crap, $4. We remembered to put it on auto 78F, $2. Huge savings, really helpful to see how we use energy. I would recommend Payless to anyone, especially someone on a budget, with irregular income (self employed like myself). You still have to budget, and when you get a big check, pay a big amount and then it lasts for a month or two. I really have had a terrific experience 99.9% of the time, thus far.

You guys are awesome! No other utility company (or business of any kind) will give you a $25 loan and not charge a fee. My balance was —$. 54 and I couldn’t make a payment until Friday. They gave me a credit of $25 and let me pay it back over a few week period…. And didn’t charge me a fee of any kind! Thank you!

I love Payless power , I never have a problem with them . If you pay your bill before your balance gets low they will alert you before they turn it it off . They’ll also work with you if you don’t have the money in some cases they can credit $25 to your account and you just have to pay them back a minimum every month . I only had to do that once but they really did help me out .

A great way for middle and lower class families to stay on top of their utilities without being pushed and dragged under by big corporate companies!
And with no deposits or credit checks it is truly a way to save you more!
My fiance and I have tried everything to crack this system to see if it was flawed and to our amazement we were able to see a rise and a drop in our daily usage by leaving lights on or turning them off or leaving things plugged in or not plugged in I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to save money.

I was worried about getting electricity for my home through a prepaid company. I was calling around to see different rates then going through all the hassle of credit checks while dropping points each check, deposits needed, contracts, waiting for connecting date, and ect. I looked again to your website and decided to try it. No deposit asked just a little payment LITERALLY A LITTLE PAYMENT TO START. I placed the amount that I wanted to pay over and set up my ideal date for connection. I get a GREAT RATE, texted daily of my balance and consumption of each day in detail, and the website is very easy, fast, and clear. I absolutely love Payless Power. I have had service through other well know electric providers and Payless Power has been a much better experience for me. I like that I receive daily text on my usage, the website makes payment easy and I have already received $30 in promotional credits to my account. I have been with Payless Power for over 2 years, and I am more than pleased . They make payments affordable and they have lots of payment locations including Wal-Mart. The customer service is friendly and patient, and if u can’t make it to the store or can’t add any money with your credit card, they offer payment extensions. Payless Power allows me to power my home cheaply and without a credit check or large deposit, that I would pay with other power companies. My household is on a fixed income. Seems to be no end to the corporate tug on the poor man. Especially when your credit is less than desirable. I’ve compared our cost through Payless to some of our friends in the area with other carriers. I was always told “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” Don’t know how y’all do it, but grateful ya do. I honestly love the low amount I pay especially when I hear my co-workers talking about outrages payments on their electric bills. It works for me to have pre-pay since I am working on my credit and at times won’t have the total amount due if I had to pay a monthly bill.
