I’m not sure what happened in the last change to Payless power, but my daily usage has gone up from spending $2.50/day to now $10.50/day! Absolutely ridiculous! Something needs to change!

Response: Amber, We have been going through many changes here, but all of them have centered around how to serve our customers better. At Payless Power, we only bill for what the meter reads, just like other electric companies. Many customers' usage has increased due to one of the coldest winters on record here in Texas, as using the heater even for just a little bit of time, can result in lots of usage. Response: Aaliyah, Providing quick and easy electric service to our customers is part of the reason we are in the business. We want people to be able to have service on the same day they request it! Keeping an account balance of $35 also guarantees that you receive a 20% discount, which can save you a lot of money! Published on January 30, 2018
I really had a lot of faith with this company but I paid 215 for one month and I’m not home all day it’s crazy expensive I don’t recommend this at all

Response: Adriana, Thank you for trusting us in the first place. At Payless Power, we only bill for what the meter reads, just like other electric companies. Even when you aren't home, if you have items plugged in to outlets that aren't powered on, they still require energy. And because of the unusually cold weather we have experienced, using your heater only for a small bit of time can result in a large energy usage! We hope this information helps. Worst company i have ever used. Extremely expensive. I just dropped 140 to get lights back on. And I’m already in the dark again. With a negative of 70. I never even use my big heart so how the hell does that happen.. They shut off my electric over and over even though i have a infant and its cold. . Ill be sure to tell all my family and friends to never use this electric company.

Response: Mikaela, Texas has experienced one of the coldest winters on record, and because of that, even using your heater for a limited time can result in a big electric bill. If you have other items or accessories plugged in to outlets, they also require energy even if they aren't turned on! We hope you will give us a second chance! And don't forget, when you keep your account balance at $35, you get a 20% discount! Published on January 30, 2018
I believed payless power to be a company that like it says charges just got the light you consume on a daily basis. I have paid around $400 of light in one month and am continuously disconnected thru out the month. They actually charge you fees for everything and you can’t even view any information on your account. I just paid $110 of light and am already in the verge of disconnection just after two days. I wouldn’t recommend this company it’s expensive, they can’t help you in any way and will be charged for any little thing.

At first before this whole change in how they give the balance and the rate of electricity used, I would have gave it 4/5stars. Now with the change and all this confusion is really annoying. I feel like I’m constantly giving out money to this company, especially when no one is home 7a-5p and my bill for one day is $10. I have never had that much in one day, and now it’s a continuation almost daily. My bill used to be between $4-5. $15 would last me at least three to four days but not now. I went back to previous bank transactions and I’m paying way more before this change. Very unsatisfied and unsettling. I am no longer saving money with this company. I will have to move on soon.
