Your electricity is a little high about $8.00 a day for a single person who is gone all day and heat set on 70 and ac on 79. Also, you charge more if I don’t make a $75.00 payment each time. That’s ridiculous. Will look for better options.

We understand you may have some worries about your daily billing that you receive, and understand that you may be frustrated if you do not understand your billing. Payless Power bills it's customers based on the amount of electricity their home has consumed, and a higher usage amount leads to a higher billing price. Keep in mind, when using either your heating or AC units, that they should not be set on any automatic settings and should be manually tuned off, as they will run even if you are not home should you set these on an auto-setting. The weather affects how your appliances are used as well, with cold weather especially causing any kind of usage spike should you utilize your heater. Regardless of your appliances, customers can always review their home's consumption at the smartmetertexas.com website, as it will break down your usage into 15-minute intervals. Finally, we charge a $4.95 Payment Processing Fee for all payments below $75, with said fee being split into $0.99 installments across 5 days, as opposed to one lump sum. You can avoid this fee by paying the $75, or you have the option to enroll the card into automatic payments. The service is very tedious when you are having to scround around for money just to keep a positive balance. People that are hurting with no vehicle and no way to get to work are able to pay this bill continuously. It’s a headache doing prepaid wish their was an option for monthly payments again!

Was quick and easy to get set up at first rates where fair and app easy to use . But with time rate increased dramatically and odd recurring and non recurring fees started popping up and one time fees that keep repeating . If it’s one time why is it actually recurring? Other then that easy to use and not much of a extension window. Only 20 bucks witch is about a day maybe 2. I would still recommend it to my friends

These are important issue that we want to make sure every customer has a firm understanding of, and we definitely want to assist you with this matter. The rates for our 6 and 12-month plans are fixed, meaning that we don't change the charge per kWh for as long as that plan is in place. You may see an overall increase in your charges because of the recent cold weather, as customers use more energy during times of winter weather.
