if i could give 0 stars i would this is the worse company i have delt with for peroaid lights literally rates are constantly going up and they have all these fees if you dont pay over 75$ at a time you get a convenient fee like what is that… it is stupid you would think they make enough money with high energy rates but no they had to go and add a convenient fee to it….
Response: Courtney- Your comments state that you are unsatisfied with your rates because they are constantly going up and there is $4.95 minimum payment fee when you don’t pay at least $75 at a time.. Its not a good situation when a customer feels like they are not getting the value they signed up for . To assist, we have reviewed your account. First, rest assured that your rate has not increased since you signed up with Payless Power. You have a fixed rate. The summer resulted in record setting heat which impacted everyone’s charges but thankfully the weather is just starting to cool down which should bring some relief. You also can avoid the minimum usage fee and make smaller payments by enrolling in autopay which is a free option. You can do this via your MyAccount Portal or with a live representative,. A review of your account shows that you are on a variable price plan that makes you vulnerable to rate increases. The good news is that we do have more affordable alternatives available for you. Prices have been at an all time high this year throughout the electricity industry. Every Texan is being affected, not just Payless Power customers . In fact we are one of the better values available. Still the prices all Texas residents are seeing have been challenging budgets. This is due to the whole process of natural gas which has been at its highest level since 2008. Why do I have to pay $4.95 just to add money under $75? That’s crazy. I don’t use $75 a week it’s like your forcing me to add more money for no reason. This should be fixed. If it was fixed I would recommend this service to everyone. But if this continues this service is a rip off don’t use it. Beware to this sceem.
Response: Ms. Cardenas- Yor review states that you do not agree with he $4.95 minimum payment fee. You fee that it is a rip off and it forces you to add extra money for no reason. You would refer friends and family to Payless Power if it were not for this fee. Thank you for your feedback. It’s important to hear what customers think so we can factor this into our decision making process in the future. The most important thing to realize is that you do not have to pay $75 or more to avoid the fee. You can also make payments as small as $40 with no fee if you enroll in our autopay feature. This will also eliminate any potential for disconnections as it will ensure there are always funds on your account . Also keep in mind that requiring a $75 payment to avoid the fee does not mean that you have to pay more for your electricity… it actually allows you to make fewer payments or to “pay less”. This allows us to manage our rates and try to keep them lower by reducing costs for credit card processing etc. Trying to keep rates lower has not been easy this year due to record prices for the natural gas that is used to run the power plants. Adding a fee that customers can avoid is a better option than raising costs for every customer. We also have seen over the years that customers who make larger payments , fewer times each month are generally more satisfied with the service because it’s a more stress free experience.
