Payless power is really awesome easy payments they take your balance. This is the best service I had so far living in Texas.

On initial enroll I was told for the first 30 days there would be a daily charge of 3.77 only if we used more then that would we be charged more. A few months went by and still being charged 3.77 a day even when my electric consumption was well below the 3.77 . Then when my electric got turned off and I was finally able to pay it they terminated my service charged me a 99 dollar fee for reconciliation and early termination fee and took my 20 dollar credit and left me with no lights and a ending bill of 74 dollars. Will not return my calls or emails about my account . Simply put they could care less about you they suck you with the no deposit just a forty dollar charge and that goes towards your electric account . But even if you have no power being used they still charge you, i think it is very unprofessional to treat a customer that was . Would not recommend them to my enemy’s.
Response: Ms Logans- Your comments state that you were advised that the daily customer fee would only be charged if you used over 17KWH per day. You were also disconnected and the account was terminated which triggered the early termination fee. Any time there is a misunderstanding regarding how service works, it is a big deal, especially when it involves a customer’s money. A supervisor will reach out to you to review your enrollment call. You should have been advised that the daily fee occurs every day with the exception of days that your service is disconnected. Our records show that this is the in fact the case & on days that you consumed power , you were charged for the daily fee. On days that you were disconnected your were not charged the fee. You may have been confused because we bill 2 days in arrears however your daily messages specify the date the charges were accrued. Also note, that an account will automatically be closed after being disconnected for 14 consecutive days. We responded to an email from you with this information earlier this month . You do have the option of starting a new account with Payless Power and if you do so we will reverse the early termination fee which will restore your final balance. I never received a email or text saying my balance was low and risking lights off so I woke up today to no electricity. I guess I’ll see how long it takes for me to have it back.
Response: Ms Ivey- Your comments state that you did not receive a text advising you to below on funds and you were disconnected . This is clearly a big deal and we will need and we understand why you would be concerned. Our records however show that the account was created the day you sent the message. Please note that we do not send our disconnections until 12:00 Noon daily and did not issue such a request on your account . It is possible that you lost power with your previous power or that there was an outage in your area. A supervisor will call you today to get some more information . 888 963 9363. Service terminated out of no where when I had a Positive balance. I decided to check my balance after not receiving my daily update on Saturday, only to find out they terminated my service. Will poignant be without electricity on Sunday since they are closed, even though they don’t even email back. I would not recommend seems like they are stealing money. My usage went from under 6kwh to out of nowhere being 17kwh the day before they terminated my service, even though nothing changed. I’d say just find another prepaid provider.

Don’t use them. They charge way to much. I live in a one bedroom apartment. I payed about 300 to 400 a month. They charge service fees daily
Response: Mr Hofmann- Your review states that the service is too expensive . You are charged a daily fee every day and you are being billed $300-$400 per month for your 1 bedroom apt. That is an very high amount for a 1 bedroom and I would not blame you for being concerned. A review of your account shows that over the past 30 days you have only been charges about 50% of that . Pre-paid billing can make that seem more since you are paying in advance but your monthly charges are thankfully nowhere near the $300-$400 range. Another reason why they may seem more inflated is that until recently, your payments were less than $75 which resulted in a $4.95 minimum payment fee. I don’t even do reviews but this company has literally made me think it would get me out of a bad situation and just put me deeper in one . These companies don’t care about their customers. They give you an easy way to start your electricity then most . First week it’s all normal pay . As soon as you have the company for a little while you start to get charged more and more each day . Like I live in a 1 bedroom and these people are really telling me I’m using 15$ of electricity a day . Mind you the minimum to put in is 20$ so you’re talking 20$ a day . If you become negative you have to pay the 10$ minimum still plus’s the negative balance . This is a rip off and I can’t wait till I get rid of this company and I will be happy to see them on the news in a couple years or less for the way they have treated the customers . I mean the other reviews say it itself . This company is horrible . They do not care and they try to sugar coat how you can even cut off everything and still be charged as if you were using electricity. Makes you hesitant to even want to watch tv or turn on your Christmas tree . Payless power you made my life a nightmare . I’ve been late on rent , car note , and etc because everyday I’m paying for your services so my electricity don’t get cut off !!!’ And this is someone with a premature baby . If anyone sees this before apply save yourself while you can . And whatever they say abck to these reviews is BS
Response: Mr. Campbell- Your review states that Payless Power has made your life a nightmare. You have a pre-mature baby and don’t feel like you can even turn on your Christmas tree lights due to the cost. Those are very big deals and the fact that you associate them with Payless power is a serious issue. A supervisor is reaching out to you to offer you the best options to address your issue. Keeping up with utility bills under such challenging situations can be incredibly difficult and I can’t even imagine the stress that these types issues cause when you have a new baby. Pre-paid service may not be the best option for you because you do indeed have to maintain a positive balance to ensure service. This does not mean that Payless Power doesn’t care about its customers… we simply have limited options as we do not maintain a deposit to protect against non -payment. Please note that we do not inflate or estimate your usage and your energy rate has not increased since you enrolled for service. What does fluctuate is the weather and your need for heating or cooling, hot water etc. The best way to use the service is to make a couple of larger payments each month instead of smaller $20 payment that incur a fee etc. There is a minimum payment that makes it seem to you like you’re spending $20 per day but this is not the case at all. It’s ok and easy to go to and get your services turned on quickly. It is however expensive!! Like I’m have to make frequent payment less than a week of lucky a week. Kind of hard for me because I get paid every 2 weeks. We try really hard to minimize our electricity at our house. To wear we don’t even have the ac/heater on because it’s too expensive. But other than that I alive the constant communication. They send me text messages telling me where I’m at everyday so I like that.
