I HAVE NEVER HAD A PREPAID SERVICE TO DISCONNECT ME DAILY. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. I’VE ADDED MONEY IT GIVES ME A POSITIVE BALANCE OF $30.00 AND WITHIN HOURS IM AT NEGATIVE, I THINK THE SERVICE YOU PROVIDE IS UNACCEPPTABLE AND IT REALLY ISNT HELPING THE CUSTOMER AT ALL. I HAVE A PROBLEM THAT EVERYTIME IM ONLINE ADDING MONEY THE MINIMUM CHANGES WITH A DISCONNECTION FEE ADDED. THIS IS NOT AFFORDABLE IT TURNS OUT TO COST MORE THEN A MONTHLY PAYMENT. PAYLESS POWER HAS TO DO BETTER NO WONDER THE CALL QUEUE IS 102 PEOPLE BEFORE ME EVERYTIME. A PREPAID SERVICE WITH A SWITCH HOLD AND 150 TO GET TAKEN OFF!!! EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER
Response: Thank you for your inquiry. We apologize for the inconvenience, a Supervisor will be contacting you. Please keep in mind that anytime services are disconnected & reconnected we require the negative balance + $35 from the $35 payment a $25 reconnection will be deducted. I do show on your account the minimum payment is not being met therefore causing your balance to fall back to a negative balance once the $25 reconnection fee is charged. Published on August 02, 2018
I don’t like my daily cost, it was times i was barely at home and my daily cost was the same. I felt it was unfair.. I actually pay attention to what i have on in my house, and its unfair at times.

My only issue with the company is the rates. I switched from another prepaid company for which I was a customer for 3 yrs whom failed to transfer my service as requested which caused a bunch of other issues. Regardless – my electric bills through Payless Power are honestly outrageous. I did expect some increase as my new residence is bigger – however my bills have quadrupled. Reviewed my bills and the amount I am paying for service is higher than was expected. Even on days I got the discount – this was typically over-ridden by the daily “one time charge” of approximately $1 a day. I like the communications, the website is great for me to see everything in one place, etc. I paid less for a month of service through my apartment complex (this was due to my service not being connected by other provider) than I do through your company. I would have expected my bill from them to have been the higher bill since they most likely bill at a higher rate and include a $50 charge just for that since they don’t want you going through them. My bill through Payless Power has at minimum been double that cost.

The bill just keeps getting ridiculously high…I’ve had this company for years and I’d never had this issue untill a few months back now…time to switch!

You can also register with smartmetertexas.com this will break your usage down to 15 min intervals allowing you to see between what hours of the day usage is being reported the most, This can be very helpful especially during the summertime once mild temperatures start, you will see a decrease in your usage. “Experience the Payless Power difference” The only difference I have experienced is receiving the worst customer service experience in the Utilty industry. I do not recommend this company to anyone. There are better rates and better customer service. They do not value customers and only charge fees to profit money. They also keep deleting my reviews. We’ll see if this review is posted.
