Response: Ms. Duran- Your comments seem to express concern regarding the minimum usage fee. This is in fact $4.95 and if you log into your My Account Portal you can see this included in a breakdown of itemized charges. A supervisor will reach out to learn more about your experience and get clarification on your issue. 888 963 9363. Published on August 03, 2022

Response: Ms Jones – You review states that you made a payment to reconnect your service but the power didn’t come back on until the next day. While this was happening you were battling covid and also had a sick baby. This is a major situation and I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been . Our records show that there was an issue with Centerpoint that prevent ed some of the customer we serve in there are a from getting reconnected in a timely fashion. This affected many customers across all electric companies. In fact, you would have experienced similar delays regardless of if you were with another company at that time. Still. After reviewing the account I think we could have done more to communicate with you . A supervisor will each out to discuss what we will do to make it right. Published on August 03, 2022

Response: Ms Waldron- Your review states that Payless Power disconnected your service even though you had already made a payment. That’s is a very impactful situation and it clear why you would be upset. Please note that per our daily text and email communications , in order to avoid a possible interruption of service you must post your payment by noon. Other wise a disconnection order can go out before your payment posts to the account even though that’s real time . A review of the timestamps on your account shows that the disconnection order was sent much earlier and completed prior to the payment. Please call us at 888 963 9363 and we can review the timing with you . 888 963 9363 Published on August 03, 2022

Response: Ms Suarez- Your comments state that you fee like you are being price gouged and you are still being charged even though you changed companies. Our records show that at the time of your review you had not switched away due to a switch-hold. You were able to reach us today to pay this off. Nearly every resident in Texas has seen their charges increase as a result of record electric demand. The intense hear this summer started early and continued non stop through July. I also see that you were a variable rate customer. This can result in escalating rates but we have fixed rate plans that are among the cheapest in Texas. Call us at 888 963 9363 for more info . Very bad. Nobody answer the call. Minimum payment, and fee charge for each payment. You have to pay a lot of extra.

Response: Hello- Your review states that you made a payment but your power was disconnected anyway even though you had a positive balance. This is something that would concern anyone . A review of your account shows that the disconnection was submitted before the payment posted and was completed right at that time. A reconnection was immediately generated and completed about an hour later. A supervisor will call you to learn more about your experience and to go over the sequence of events. Thank you for your patience. 888 963 9363. Published on July 27, 2022

Response: Mr. Dilocker- Your comments state that when you enrolled online you were not aware of the nature of prepaid service. You have a medical condition and are concerned about being disconnected due to health and other important reasons. Disconnection due to non-payment is a big deal any time of the year but especially now so you concerns are absolutely understandable. That is why we offer a number of options for customers to avoid disconnection. The best way is to enroll in autopay. This would prevent the possibility of disconnection and also exempt you from minimum payment fees. We also offer same day account protections and deferred payment plans. Lastly we will never issue a disconnection for non-payment on any customer account before 12:00 noon . As long a you can bring your account positive or make an arrangement request before noon you will never an interruption of service. A supervisor will contact you to send out a critical care/ chronic condition application. 888 963 9363. Published on July 22, 2022
Centerpoint is the worst carrier that I’ve had for electricity and I’ve lived in multiple states and countries. I’ve had more consistent power in Iraq. There has been two outages this month alone and we’re only 2/3 through it. They have slow response times to outages and are incredibly inaccurate when giving estimated repair times. These 4 and 5 star reviews have to be fake or employees because there is no plausible way that a company with so many outages in a short span of time could muster a happy customer base.

Response: Mr Ashley- Your comments show frustration with your local power utility, Centerpoint Energy. Out responses are a big deal and a very understandable cause for concern. While we do serve customers in the Centerpoint footprint, our Company and website are unaffiliated. You can direct your feed back to Centerpoint’s corporate office here: Corporate Office: 713-207-1111 Published on July 22, 2022
I think the extra charge for not adding what you feel someone should have in their account I’d really inconsiderate inconvenient and stupid

I had enough on my account for four more days. I’m waiting for a call back which is holding me back from my work!. I was charged an adjustment fee for $105 which put me negative with y’all. What the heck I put money on my account every week. I can’t find anything on the web page about an adjustment fee. So now my four children and retired vet will have to do without power when I thought I had four more days to pay. I lose electric by 12 and don’t receive my paycheck for two more days. Man I don’t know what to do

Response: Mr Hunt- Your comments state that you are alarmed because your account was hit with a large adjustment which has made your account susceptible to disconnection. This is definitely a major issue and a supervisor is calling you to discuss. This is related to an issue with a prior payment . The supervisor will go over your options and steps you can take to reverse the adjustment. Published on July 19, 2022
