They connected the wrong meter number and I have been paying the upstairs apt for months now and didn’t know till my light got disconnected and found out they never had it connected to my apt but to someome else’s..I’ve been on phone with them all day and not one person figured it out I had to myself

Response: Mr. Rodgiguez- You comments state that you were on the phone with our customer care team all day on Feb 6 due to an issue with an incorrect meter. We do show that AEP was dispatched to your home and discovered that the meter number stickers had been switched . While we took steps to return the usage that you consumed with us to the correct resident. It appears that you did not start an account with us at the correct address. Always have trouble paying automatic system always puts you threw loops and hangs up on you. Deny the card for no reason now account is blocked.. I have asthma and need to take breathing treatments every 2 to 4 hours and it’s going to turn my lights off due to me not being able to get through to make my payment I also have for young children this system is very hard to work with I have the money to add but yet it won’t let me

That part is not true or at least we do not intentionally hide fees. Bill sky rocketed over the last 2 weeks. I’m paying daily and I’m the only in my household. Gone most of the day at work and still threaten with disconnection daily. New service agreement is crap and I will not agree to it. I will be taking my money elsewhere. Y’all pls look harder and longer because this company ain’t it.

Response: Hello- We were not able to locate your account under your email. Many customers did experience very high usage during the January Arctic Blast. This was not due to increased rates though. The amount of power that central heat requires to heat a home during prolonged sub-freezing temperatures is considerable. Much higher in fact that the energy it takes to cool a home in 100 degree temps. You are correct in that you can switch providers with no penalty for 14 days following the delivery of the new Terms of Service. I like your company. I like the email updates, this let’s me know my electricity I consumption and how I can save. One thing I would like to see is how to pay the amount we can afford and not be imposed a certain amount. I there is a reason for this option I would like to know.

Response: Ms. Ramirez- Thank you for your comments. Payless Power does have certain payment rules and these are generally in place to ensure that the customer’s payment is enough to ensure service. If your account balance is positive, you can make payments as small as $20.00 Please keep in mind there is a fee of $4.95 to post a payment less than $150 on some plans but on most plans this only applies to payments under $75.00. Soon as the weather drops the meter reading goes up and doesn’t change even when no power is being used at all. Daily average stays the same, very unreasonable usage readings

Response: Mr. Paredes- Your comments state that your usage goes up whenever it gets colder, and you don’t think this is accurate. That is understandable but Payless Power does not inflate your rates or usage. You are under a fixed price product with a 12-month term. Your rate is locked. Extreme cold can have an enormous on your usage though. Most Texas residents may not realize how much if they have never had daily billing before. Texas winters usually consist of many milder days and colder nights with a couple of intense artic events mixed in. This usually would result in those high winter charges getting averaged down by the time you receive a monthly bill . Its still costing you but you don’t notice as much because of that. Daily billing strips away the façade and that can be shocking but also very educational. You can always audit your usage by registering free of charge at www.smartmetertexas.com. Very unsatisfied customer. I’m paying $20 a day for an apartment. I have unplugged as much as I can and this is beyond unacceptable and by far the worst experience.
