Is there a program to help pay electric bill? I am on fixed budget from Social Security check. I have been trying to use electricity the least possible and summer heat is on. I don’t know how much longer I can keep up with bill. I was paying 9.5 cents per kwt and with you is 14.5 cents per kwt aprox.
Response: Ms. De la Rosa- Thank you for your comments. Many Texas residents are in your same situation regardless of the electric company they use due to the wholesale cost of electricity and record temperatures. There are programs to help. You can call 211 on your cell phone for a list of programs and also visit texasutilityhelp.com . The State of Texas has received $50,000,000 from the federal government to aid low income households with their energy bills. A supervisor will contact you to discuss. 888 963 9363 Published on July 19, 2022

I use to love this company now with all the fees it’s absolutely ridiculous you might as well not be a prepaid company anymore.. it’s hard out here and sometimes $75 isn’t always available definitely looking for a better company.
Response: Ms Shaw- Your comments show that you were happy with Payless Power until the minimum payment fee was added. That’s is understandable and Payless power has listened to this feedback and lowered the fee amount. You can also avoid the fee and having to make larger payments by enrolling with auto pay. Please fix your on hold system. I went through the automated system and clicked to customer service for existing customers. Waited on hold just to be answered by a guy asking if I need new service. Told him I’m an existing customer and he proceeds to put me in a 16 person queue.
Response: Rick- your comments state that you attempted to use the IVR to speak to an associate for assistance . It transferred you to a department that could not assist and you were transferred again. This is a serious situation that we will to investigate. A supervisor is reaching out to you to confirm the phone # you called in from. We can use that to information to research and resolve any problems that may have occurred. Published on July 18, 2022
I’ve had them for about 7 years . Easiest way to do your electricity. You see your balance daily . You can add money to your account easily before you get shut off . No extra expenses. If your living on a budget . It’s the best way . Only problem . No customer service representative.
Response: Ms Neal- Thank you for your feedback. A supervisor will reach out to assist and discuss your experience. Published on July 18, 2022
Rates have went up to 19 cent per kw! Charging $20-$30 per day! Representative told me no other offers are available! And no low income options were available! Even though the website indicates something different! Highly disappointed!
