I am consistently being locked out of my account, the customer service has not been the best. Rates are high and I’m too busy to have to call and make a payment on my account when they feel like blocking my account. Really considering switching providers

Things are really hard for everyone right now….. I was managing fairly well until y’all started charging a 30$ reconnect fee…. This doesn’t seem like much but for me it makes it a real struggle to try to stay on top of my account… I’m usually sleeping when my notifications come through so I don’t get them until I wake up….or….if it slips my mind, the power goes off while I’m sleeping and of course it’s to late by then…. Before this fee….I highly recommend your company to everyone…. Now it seems , your just like all the rest….

Response: We appreciate you for taking the time to contact us about these concerns, Dana. We understand that you have concerns with the reconnection fee that you are charged, and can see why a disconnection may be stressful.
Please keep in mind that it is a customer's responsibility to maintain a positive balance on their account to avoid an interruption of their electricity services. If your balance is below $0, you will have until 12PM noon the same day you go negative to bring your balance to a positive $20 balance and prevent disconnection. If payment is not made, you will be at risk of a disconnection, and will incur a $30 reconnection fee that is broken down into 10 daily installments of $3 per installment.
Payless Power recommends that customers enroll a debit or credit card for automatic payments, that way a payment will be made automatically by our system when your balance goes below a certain threshold.

It’s difficult to even make my necessities of life after I recently suffered a stroke and heart attack at the same time. Before my stroke I had congestive heart failure and had to have a pacemaker put in. I can’t work anymore, I have lost most of my income because I had an elderly gentleman who i had taken in my rented house that is dilapidated and eaten up by rats in the attic and outside, my pipes burst for the 3 rd time and on the last burst I had to pay for them myself. I am behind on my car note, car insurance, rent, credit cards, i had to pay my mechanic over 700 dollars because I had a faulty electrical system and had a new battery put in i bought from Walmart in from Walmart in the past 4 months and had to buy another one because they said it wasn’t the battery even though it was. I owe the va over 15,000 dollars because I have tri-west with co- pays i owe hospitals, I owe for the alternator i unfortunately had to replace and I could go on and on and on about everything else I am behind on.

Response: Thank you for your feedback on this matter, Monicqua. We understand that you have concerns about a disconnection of your services, and know that can be a stressful situation to deal with. If services were disconnected for having a balance below $0, then a payment must be made to the account to bring you balance to at least positive $20. With this amount, your services can be restored and you will have additional funds for future energy usage.
