Payless Power recently completed an anaysis of U.S. Power outages going back to 2003 and found that Texas has averaged more power outages than any other state in the last five years.
Needless to say, that got some attention. Our research was featured in a March 12th, 2024 article in the Houston Chronicle. According to the Houston Chronicle, “the data reveals a paradox that’s become a common point of frustration: Texas is the national leader in energy production, yet the state’s aging power grid struggles to keep the lights on”.
