Record-Breaking Heat Spikes Energy Demand
The heat index reached the 110°-115° range across much of Texas this week, with triple-digit temperatures expected to continue through the end of July. Although energy demand is spiking as Texans combat the heatwave, ERCOT is confident the power grid is stable and able to meet increasing loads.
