If you’re on the lookout for Labor Day Houston events, look no further! Here’s a list of fun, cheap things to do in Houston this upcoming three-day weekend. Many of these Labor Day events in Houston are also kid-friendly, so you can bring the whole family along.

Texas Southern University vs. Prairie View A&M

This Labor Day Houston classic is a favorite among college football fans. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, September 1 at 7 p.m. Tickets start as low as $23.

Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park

Labor Day Houston just got better for baseball fans because the Houston Astros will be playing home games at Minute Maid stadium versus the National League Central-leading Cincinnati Reds in a Labor Day Weekend series. Friday night’s game starts are 7:05 p.m., Saturday’s game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m., and Sunday afternoon’s game gets going at 1:05 p.m. Tickets start at just $10, so you can bring the whole family.

Houston Brazilian Festival

Whether you have Brazilian heritage or you simply want to learn more about this fantastic culture, come check out the Labor Day Houston Brazilian Festival on September 2 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Jones Plaza. This family-friendly event features live music and shows, Brazilian food, educational booths, games, and interactive demonstrations. Advance tickets are just $8 while tickets bought at the event are $10. Kids 10 and younger are free!

The Brewmasters International Beer Festival at Moody Gardens

Come try out a few of the vendors’ 400 different craft beers, enjoy live music, and interact with industry experts. Labor Day Houston festival events take place from the evening of August 31 through midnight on September 2. If you’re 21 or older, stop on by for an extraordinary time! Tickets vary by price for each event during the festival and range from $10 for admission to the Sunday night BBQ to $124 for the Big Hopper Pass that grants admission to every event over the weekend.

Def Leppard, Poison and Lita Ford

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is hosting The Rock of Ages Tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Lita Ford on September 1. This rock concert will be the highlight of your Labor Day Weekend! Tickets start at $35 and gates open at 5:30 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. show.

Labor Day Redfish Raft-Up

On Sunday, September 2, hop aboard Star Fleet’s Labor Day Redfish Raft-Up Weekend Party Cruise to Redfish Island! This $99-per-ticket fundraising event features a 4½ hour cruise, complimentary drinks for guests of all ages, a Texas BBQ, and a Kelly McGuire concert. All proceeds benefit the Galveston Bay Foundation. Seating on the yacht is limited to 100 people, so get your tickets now!
